Transonic cascade flows as a weak solution of boundary value problem (Small disturbance theory)

Karel Kozel, Jan Polášek

The paper deals with the formulation of the problem of two-dimensional transonic flow around a lattice of thin airfoils as a boundary value problem for an equation of mixed elliptic-hyperbolic type. The problem is uniquely solvable and the solution continuously depends on the shape of the streamlined profiles in the lattice and on the input Mach number $M_1<1$.
