The telescopic approach is systematically employed to examine sums for products of hyperbolic arctangent functions whose arguments are Pell and Pell--Lucas polynomials. Numerous summation formulae are established in closed forms. Several identities concerning Fibonacci and Lucas numbers are deduced as particular cases.
