In this article, we consider a conformable boundary value problem associated with Robin type boundary conditions and present a Lyapunov-type inequality for the same. Further, we attain a lower bound on the smallest eigenvalue for the corresponding conformable eigenvalue problem using the established result, semi maximum norm and Cauchy--Schwartz inequality.
