The numerical solution of Fredholm's integral equation by means of spline approximations

In this paper a nonstationary iterative method of solving equation (1) is given. The integral is replaced by a quadrature formula and the calculation procedure is ended when the output criteria [5] is satisfied. In order to apply the above criteria a spline approximation is introduced. The existence of convergency of the procedure is proved and the error estimation is given. The above is illustrated on several worked out examples obtained by the V 73 machine.
