This article provides a survey of abstract pseudo-differential operators based on [3]. In particular we shall comment on the relationship between the algebraic and analytic concepts of order and under what conditions they agree with each other. We shall also note some regularity features that can be provided in abstract generality and correspond to geometrical properties.
