Let $G$ be a group and $\tau_e(G)$ the set of numbers of elements of $G$ of the same order. In this note it is proved that a group $G$ is isomorphic to $PSL_2(7)$ if and only if $\tau_e(G)=\{1,21,56,42,48\}$.
