After general remarks about the role of the Byzantine mathematics and its place in the education system, the author analyzed the particular works of the main Byzantine mathematicians: Lav Matematičar, Georgije Pahimer, Maksim Planud, Manojlo Moshopul, Todor Metohit, Teodor Meliteniot, Isak Agir, Nikola Artavazd (Ravda), Varlaam, Georgije Trapezuntski, and Georgije Geometar.
