DIGITIZATION OF POLISH HISTORIC(AL) DICTIONARIES

Abstract: We discus the project of converting Polish dictionaries, both historic and diachronic, into a machine-readable form. It will consist of two stages: one, scanning the dictionaries and storing the images, the other, converting the images to text, by use of OCR programs. The project will be presented on a background of other digitization projects in Poland.
