This text contains conclusions of a fruitful discussions during the symposium on Digital Preservation of Cultural Heritage within the frameworks of the International Congress MASSEE’2003, held in Borovets, Bulgaria, concerning the modern technologies and ongoing work in the field of digitisation of cultural artefacts and the problems faced by countries in the South-Eastern Europe.
