DATA BASE OF CONDITIONS AND PROTECTIVE MEASURES OF MONUMENTS SITES AND PLANNING OF CONSERVATION ACTIVITIES

Activities concerning immobile cultural properties are planned by the cultural monuments protection service in such a way that planned activities of individual conservators and individual institutions are coordinated and priorities are determined. But, the condition of a monument is not always the criterium that rates it among the priorities. Often it has to do with requests for activities to be performed on certain monuments, as well as the conservators' special interest for certain monuments. In order to determine the condition of a monument in a more precise manner, so that only the condition and significance of an immobile cultural property influence the priority of conservationist activities, the development of an "immobile cultural properties conditions and protective measures" data base has been proposed. For each individual property, this data base should provide basic facts about the monument, give an up to date history of previous protective activities, and determine the necessary conservationist measures and their urgency. A query about the conditon of the monument will give the priorities, i.e. plan of activities, while a query about previous activities will provide a report of these activities.
