We present an easy and flexible way of describing resources. The simplicity of the design and maintenance, understandable semantics and possibility of localization are the aims of Dublin Core Metadata Initiative. The implementation is possible trough XML and HTML, the former one having greater possibilities. Description of a particular resource can be kept inside or out of it, which is convenient for describing nontextual information. Possibilitz for localizations is proved, since the governments of many countries introduced Dublin Core as the standard way of describing information.
