This research suggest to us that teachers, commonly educated in our educational system, are not competent for inclusion of algebra methods in primary school arithmetic’s. In this article we give report on college teacher education student's understanding on even and odd numbers. They recognize even and odd numbers but they can not correctly describe the numbers and they did not know how to algebraically record them.
