Generalized growth of meromorphic functions and rational approximation

For an arbitrary compact set E ⊂ C we consider the Newton-Padé approximant and rational approximation error of meromorphic function f and relate these to the generalized order and generalized type of f. Our results generalize the various results of K. Reczek ([20],[21]) and Winiarski [28].
