Revisiting the Meir-Keeler contraction via simulation function

In this paper, we aim to obtain a fixed point theorem which guarantee the existence of a fixed point for both the continuous and discontinuous mappings that fulfill certain conditions in the context of metric space. We also consider some examples to illustrate our results.
